Posted about this guitar little bit ago

Took the old screws off gonna throw some gold ones in, but once they look at the pickups and see why it was giving me so much static or I’m I just not use to old pick ups and that is just distortion lol please tell me if it is lol the more you know .

Yall have any thoughts or ideas here is two sound test I did when I first got it months ago

I’m gunna test out this metal gold plated nut as a replacement

Also here is with gold PG screws as well

The cool thing about guitars like that is to embrace them for what they are.

I have a 1969 Tiesco Del Ray V-2 that is a serious piece of work...

It hums, buzzes, the pickups are pretty low output, but it has a serious vibe too it when I pull it out

Interesting p'ups in that one. And that nut looks like all the string slots are the same size - universal right/left design?

Anyway, give the selector switch a shot of contact cleaner/Deoxit, shield the p'up cavity and maybe the back of the PG white you're at it. Drop in a real Switchcraft output jack and let 'er rip!
