Will a resized shipping label still work?

If you resize a USPS shipping label will the bar codes still scan properly?

I sold a pedal on Reverb and printed the shipping label from their site. Unfortunately, the label is too big for the pedal box. If I use a bigger box, then I will have to (1) recalculate shipping based on the new dimensions, (2) purchase the new (more expensive) shipping label, and (3) cancel the old label.

If I print the original label at, say, 85% to fit box. Will it work?

The alternative, to buy the stamp at the PO without the Reverb discount, is $3 more.

I think so. As long as the scan bars are clear. They'll just move the scan gun up and down until it beeps.

over here it works well with DHL - even at 50% of the original size

From a former letter carrier experience, you can get real small with the label. As long as both the address and bar code are LEGIBLE and readable.

It should work just fine. When you print it do so at the highest resolution possible.
