Very interesting...doesn't say STRAT on the head stock or BULLET...almost as if it is a hard-tail standard. Says:
  • Full size 42in electric guitar .
  • Bolt-on construction.
  • Hardwood body.
No serial number in the pictures, so no prefix clues. No skunk stripe on the back of the neck. Looks like the SE / Affinity type tuners, not trapezoids. Some interesting reviews posted up, mostly positive.

Their ad claims 21 frets … photos show 22 frets. Can you get into a store and check one out?
Cheers, Barrie.

Definitely can't at the minute due to Covid 19. Also, Argos is a catalogue retailer. Not sure if you have them in North America. Basically, you turn up at the "shop" and order the item from a desk. They then fetch it from the warehouse. You don't get to try out or see products until after you've bought them. They are generally very good with returns though.

Just wondering if anyone has come across these squiers before? Argos is a chainstore in the UK and Ireland and they stock a squier stratocaster that's neither a Bullet nor an Affinity. Anyone ever play one? Very cheap and tempting.

This IS a Bullet - it's a very standard Squier Bullet HT in Fiesta Red - readily available everywhere :)

They have upgraded the tuners and logo on the newer models

I really don't think it is. It's something else. Maybe the description is wrong but there are some differences with the bullet. Might buy one when the shops open again. If it's junk i'll just return it.

I'm the most knowledgeable here about Squiers - it's a Bullet......with 22 frets if the pic is right......

Ok so it's a bullet with 22 frets, 1 string tree rather than 2, different logo, 3 ply pickguard rather than single, no truss rod insert, no skunk stripe, no serial number, and made in China rather than Indonesia. They haven't been made in China in a few years I think.

No different logo than normal, and China made guitars regularly have no skunk stripe, and no truss rod insert is common on China made stuff too (of the lower end Squier variety), YES they have been made in China.....don't forget upgraded better tuners which the newer Bullet HT's have - trust me that photo is a mock up. There will be slight variances with the actual product. This new Squier logo is going to be on all bullets, the solid black logo is being phased out.....

So are "newer Bullet HT's" also losing the "Bullet" name on the headstock?
