Well I looked at the above picture with it strung up and theres nothing wrong with the bridge.
Maybe it's not the best picture I provided, but I am suspicious about the bridge. You generally have to make new holes for the pickguard when you swap one out. The bridge looks ok from the picture. Was it strung up when you got it? Were the strings where they were supposed to be?
Yes, that one is easy to fix. Just scrape some thick paint leftovers from the cavity or something like that. The second problem is pickguard screws and then the bridge, which is not straightly screwed...
Maybe you can see it in the picture.

The bridge ALWAYS hits hard against the pickguard with no gap on SE Strats....but pickguards should still fit....
That's normal I assumed you were aware, I should have mentioned it....
You have to center the pickguard at the bridge....it's too far toward the low E and lower body edge now....
Interesting. I will wait for a good deal on the mim bridge.Actually, the problem isn't the pickguard being misaligned, rather the stock bridge plate being poorly designed. Mine kept the original pickguard (which has a small chip in the area caused exactly by the stock bridge rubbing against it) but had the bridge assembly upgraded for a Fender MIM one, using the original drill holes. It aligns properly with the pickguard now, leaving an even gap all around.
