GEAR It GLP 100 UPDATE -
Quick back-track, these showed up before xmas with big discounts, I paid $68 shipped. Arrived in perfect condition, and on 1st impression I stated it was equal to the IYV spaulted tele that many scored on. I removed the strings, ordered a roller bridge and it sat until a week ago, when I finally got a chance to set it up.
Here are the findings. The Kaish roller was a drop-in and well worth the $12. Pickups needed a height adjustment, which was awkward because there are no springs, as foam blocks and screws are used. While rubbing out the fret board with Howard's Feed & Wax, I noticed the neck had quite an upward back-bow (@ThunderDan check this out as it maybe your actual problem, not the fret level). There was no tension on the truss rod. Cranking "clock-wise" removed the hump and has remained intact. Tuners lubed, Slinky 10's added, and a final truss adjustment, bingo, this thing is a player! The frets have rounded ends and are factory smooth and level.
Pots are minis, but the P90's sound good. Tuners work ok, but if you're gigging, they should be replaced. All and all, the best $68 I've ever spent. Nothing like bottleneck slide and soap bar P90's. DSCN6016.JPG

Nice glad you got yours sorted out. Which Kaish roller did you get?

Thanks for the suggestion on truss rod, I did check relief initially, its got a healthy amount of relief, more than I would typically set.

Ordered some cheap amazon fret leveling tools, hopefully they are straight haha. I'll also double check that the frets are all seated down now, when I got it a few were lifting up off the fretboard, I pounded them down with a rubber mallet but may need to glue them back in.

The cheap amazon tools mostly did the trick, the leveling block didn't come with additional sandpaper and became ineffective before I got all the frets, but its mostly playable now!

Going to order some adhesive sandpaper and give it another pass when I need to change the strings. Still have to inspect the electronics, something funky with the middle position.

I grabbed one of these when they were available for $87 shipped. Yes, there is something out of phase in the wiring on the middle position but it seems more like a feature than a bug to me now. And I wanted something with P-90s and this filled the bill nicely. Everyone, it seems, who gets one of these guitars says they are going to upgrade this or replace that, and even I ordered a set of full size pots for it, but those pots are just sitting on my workbench. After playing the guitar, as is, for a month or two, unless something breaks - I'm going to leave it alone.

I also have a new Epiphone Trad IV which is similar, except for the pick ups, and I play the GearIT-100 more as the neck is more comfortable. Especially the fret ends which on the GearIT are nicely rounded while on the Epiphone they need work. The Epiphone fret ends are so sharp it hurts to pick up the guitar.

Anyway, if you're primarily a Strat player, like me, looking to dip a toe into LPs and P-90s than grab one of these if they ever become available again.

I bought one and then my order was delayed, I don't think I'll ever get it.
*EDIT I looked it up I ordered it Nov. 25, I don't see them on Amazon, talk about a slow boat from China!

I love LPs but can't do a bolt on LP. I have no issues with a bolt on Strat ... But LP, SG, PRS, Explorer, Flying V all need to be set necks.

I'd keep an eye on the GearIT homepage to see if these become available again. Did they keep your money? I ordered mine on November 24th and received it two days later on November 26th. AFAIK, GearIT has a California warehouse. And they are primarily a cable and wire company.

The GearIT page is here.
