You living in Tucson now? I did 20 years there (74-94) and 10 in Phoenix. Wanted to snowbird down from Idaho but 20 years later? :D
Yes sir, we moved from Yuma 1 year ago. I left my company after 26 years (after 3 different locations: Houston, Maryland, Yuma) and took a new job down here.

This weekend was the 1 year anniversary of us closing on and moving into this house.

I was in my Shed in Tucson and picked up something off the floor, when I felt like a bee sting. Then the pain shot up my arm like Sodium Pentothal except I didn't go to sleep? Scorpion got me! Went to Hospital but they said ride it out because the serum could be worst.

I haven't seen any scorpions here, but I did in Yuma.

However, I have seen more Roadrunners up here where I live in Marana for the last year than I did 12 years in Yuma....

maybe why I don't see scorpions

We had lots of these in SC where I grew up. Mama said when they as kids would find them they would tell the lizard to “show me your money” as they would commonly do the thing like the second pic shows, showing his “penny” .
I caught one once, got him to open his mouth and let him close it on my earlobe, as a sort of earring. Just stung a little a brought a drop of blood. Here in Maryland I more often see the one about the same size that are streaked blue and black I think.
