Must be some really good pizza.

Best Grandma's I've ever had. Not the best pizza ... but definitely the best Grandma's. Nothing local comes close. So it's about a 30 minute drive into Manhattan.

But I need to get to the bridge after 9pm to avoid the $9 Congestion Tolls. Heck ... $9 is another two slices of Grandma's !!!

It is Friday night so it’s a good pizza night! I had spaghetti from my favorite Italian place.

It's in a pretty busy area in Greenwich Village. It's open until 5am on Friday and Saturday. I guess it caters to the night crawlers.

But it's fun to sit and people watch ... the girls are all decked out to the 9's and the fellahs are in t-shirts and jeans.

When my family was in Manhattan NY, we really loved the pizza there! If I didn't have health concerns, I would try a different pizza place each day! We even loved the affordable corner pizza + pop combos! There's just something different in NY pizza compared to our Chicago pizza.

I'm vegan, but I would take a break for a pizza!

You drove to the Village to get pizza?

As an Italian-American friend said to our other Italian-American friend, "What?!? No ******* way we're driving to Jersey for pizza, when we've got the best pizza on the planet right here in Brooklyn!!! She's right, you know.

One of my favorites is 29 miles away. Worth the drive every time.

The absolute closest dine-in pizza joint near me is just over 8 miles away.

The closest spot with over 4 stars on Google that isn't a buffet (Pizza Ranch) is 16 miles away.

A lot of it is highway miles around here though, so only 15-30 minutes max driving time.
