Anybody else like to rock on a semi hollow?

Semi hollows work different for me. While I really appreciate them, I find I tend to play cleaner on a semi or hollow. I use mine mostly for genres like oldies, pop, jazz, funk, soul, gospel and Broadway Musicals. The heaviest thing I play on mine is some Chicago blues.

They are a valuable part of my collection. Everyone should own at least one.

Oh man, I've always wanted a real ES 335. So what makes the Pro a Pro exactly?
It's been a long time since I had that guitar. I bought it is college. The pickups were different. Now, in retrospect, I think they might have been Dirty Fingers At the time I did not know, It was just a guitar I bought mega cheap. After college, I eventually realized it had a questionable provenance, so I dumped it. Great guitar but too great for the money I paid. In college back then you were more worried about the cost than the why.

And a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, with a little known band of friends, I used to rock out a little Cult fun myself!

Awesome! That was great. Did you play lead? You gotta respect the Cult... if For no other reason, they made the tambourine cool. ;)

My only semi at the moment. An AS73 in Antique Amber. It hasn't had a lot of use this past year but is now back in rotation.

Have the same one in cherry. Love the way it feels, but I’ve been meaning to upgrade the pickups for a long time. Not terrible just feel like it is capable of better. I’m assuming you’ve modded yours in some way or another?

Yes. The stock pickups were a bit underwhelming.

That Black Friday, Douglas Tele for $99 at Rondo has got me thinkin' about rockin' one.
Yes! My '72 Thinline is a favorite of mine. Crazy how good they sound even unplugged! That's a great price too. Hmmmm ....
