The regular Strat shaped JS32 is much more practical and a great little guitar for its price. I didn't know that they now make them with exotic tops and a hardtailI had it for about a week. I loved the RR V's as a teen in the 80's and always wanted one.
Of course, we know the issues of playing a V sitting down, but even standing up, it was a bit awkward. I think it's due to my jelly belly.Because a regular guitar is rounded on the top back, I can angle the guitar when I'm standing up. But the V has the protruded tail which forces the guitar body to actually slope downwards at an angle along my jelly belly. Very awkward for me to play.
The pups on the JS32 are pretty decent. Better than the JS22. So if you're jelly belly isn't an issue, you'll probably like this guitar.

I was on the fence about getting it until last night. I was on musician's friends website and they had it marked down to $219 for their spring sale. So I said, why not? I'll give it a try, hopefully it's not too awkward for me to play.
