Well it has some snarl to it, the Nu-tubes seem alright maybe a little fizzy so to speak. I tried it through my bass speaker and that's 4 ohms, I really like the way it rounded out the sound from low to highs. The small 8" that came with it is not all that different sounding than a Mustang 1 Fender type. It's fine for inside practicing, w/o mic'ing it I doubt it would sound good in a band situation. I kinda feel like the price on sale should be the regular price on these. I put the boost pedal in front and it took it fine, no weird breakups. I also tried a overdrive pedal and seemed to take that fine as well, though the pedal's sound was kind similar to the Rock platform. I could tell there was some overdrive overtones added from the overdrive pedal. The switches in the rear give you plenty of options to pair with any current speakers you have. The switches are not toggle like so there's a little play in the switch. A heavy Speaker cable will make the thing lean back like a bucking bronco it's so light. The Speaker did come with a cable.

I picked one up and L&M (physically, didn't buy) and wondered about the weight factor. I wonder if it would be better if they stuck a slab of sheet metal on the bottom to act as ballast.
I'm trying not to buy gear I don't need (HA!) but these interest me. 50W though... that's some wall shaking ability right there.
