Now I’m thinking Marshall. I played the DSL40 (at 20 watts) and the AC15 today (both quite loudly). The Marshall sounded better, even clean, and it seemed more responsive to my pick attacks as well. I haven’t tried the GOAT Fender Deluxe Reverb. I may not bother.

Marshall's been my favorite for some time now. I love AC30 cleans, even with distortion they sound pretty great. Not a huge fender amp guy.
I'm gonna be saving for a Ceriatone AH Deluxe for the next two years, based off a hotrodded marshall. The DSL line (ESPECIALLY the 40) handles distortion pedals amazingly. Great tube amps.

I love the Fenders for their clean drive tones. But I also love the Marshall for their dirty drive tones. I love 80s rock and roll, metal and hard versions of other genres. Most of my top fave players from this era used either a Fender or a Marshall.
