I need help! From someone who can do some wood working. I have an idea, and I think its a good one.

With digital stuff, preamps and pedal sized poweramps being as popular as they are, why not an Amp topping pedalboard? Think about it, the shape and size of an amp head, with the sides, but instead of amp controls being in front of you, an angled shelf that can fit a few pedals. Tolex, the whole 9. I need one of these and I bet im not the only one.

Does what I am describing make sense? Standing pedals (angled back) in a amp head box of sorts??

I did something like that for a friend of mine, he wanted a cabinet with pedals on the top and some eq/recording stuff on shelves in the bottom and cord storage in the back, on wheels.
I usually have the pedals on top of the amp, just easier to reach the knobs when I’m messing around. Been toying with the idea of a board with a tilt and open space underneath for all the wiring, and routed recesses for the pedals. I hate Velcro.

Trying to understand the vision / the purpose behind it.

You want to replace an amp head with pedals, on top of a cab?
Or
You want to add a signal chain that sits on top of the amp head?

I know some people like to leave their pedals on a table or something in reach and don't toggle the effects on and off when they play. Is this your market?

Crude i know, but like a shelf that can sit in the head. Im not worried about cables or power supply, as cool as it would be. Id just love to see this made in tolex.

ok, so you want a pedal board in a box, that matches your cab, and replaces the amp head.
Its a good idea if that works for how you play.

Yes! Maybe 2 preamps. Maybe a Noise gate. But yeah, I'd like my preamp and poweramp to sit like a regular amp-ish. I think it would be sweet.

Just a box with a shelf In it. Mock up a cardboard test piece to get the size and angles you want, saves a lot of hassles in the long run

Here's. My solution. The rolling rack cost around $100. I could roll the rig down the street to the drummers house. No. I do not use the amp on top. Just a $10 yard sale find I could not resist.
