I'm looking to get a inexpensive mixer that will allow me to hook a guitar trainer or the like to my amp so I can play along with it. My amp doesn't have a aux jack.

I saw the [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-502-XENYX502-5-Channel-Mixer/dp/B000J5UEGQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1314043402&sr=1-1"]Behringer XENYX502[/ame] but didn't know how good it was.

Any other suggestions?

Something else I just thought of. I suppose if have pedals they would effect anything played through the mixer? Could the pedals be in front of the mixer?

Edit: Hmmmm after some reading I'm not sure a mixer is what I need. Perhaps there is something else I should use.

If you just want to be able to connect a mp3 player to play along with your guitar you might look at a used Fender Frontman 25R amp. They can be found cheap on CL or in pawn shops.

Actually I have a G-Dec 3 Thirty that will do it, but I was wanting to be able to use one of my tube amps.

Mainly trying to learn more about what is possible.

Just find a cheap PA if you can. Its something I use all the time now... and it also works out great for get-togethers as well.
