The volume pot on my fender China built, is not functioning on my 65R I'm in need of one to resolder on the PCP board as the one on there now is on 10 and will not let me adjust the volume in the clean channel. The amp sounds really good in the clean channel, and drive channel is good too, it did come with a good fender yellow and brown label speaker, got it at GC for 53 dollars,
Thanks all.

Why limit yerself to only Fender factory pots?

Have ye tried contacting Fender customer support for one? Even to buy?

Why not CTS metric or Alpha pots? CTS does make metric pots, altho you'll have to search for them. Maybe GuitarElectronics.com? Nowdays Alpha pots are just as good as CTS but are built to metric specs.

I've checked some online electronics sites and the one I need for this has been discontinued.

I have noticed this on a few newer import guitars, the alpha 500ks actually are sounding better than the ones from the 90's mid/early 2000s.

Yes, Alpha has come a LONG way from their early days. I reckon that early CTS wasn't exactly stellar in their beginnings too. It seems to me like the metric electronics took an exponential jump forward in quality somewhere around 2008-'09. However, after handling guitars from the 70s, 80s 90s and newer, I can see & hear a definite trend in improving quality in import electronics.

The 70s were non-standardized anything-goes Teisco wild west days (if I can screw it onto the guitar, it'll go on). It looks like to me they regularly raid the industrial electronics parts bin and screw on stuffs intended for refrigerators, airplanes and other not-guitar things... 😅

The 80s became more standardized but quality was still a hit or miss. When it was a hit, it's sometimes even better than equivalent American stuffs. Lotsa misses too tho...usually on the cheaper lesser known brands.

The 90s got better (certainly better than many guitars from the Americas at the time). Most are at least decent enuff to get started with (which is at least something one can expect after the 70s and early 80s).

The 2000s transitioned from the barely getting by to works just as well as American brands like CTS and Bourne, altho at significantly lower prices.

In the 2010s, I've seen prices for those import electronics go up as the average wages and cost of business went up in the various asian nations. To be fair they've been gradually going up for a long while, but the rate of increases has accelerated lately. The Pandemic and subsequent global inflation hike certainly ain't helping.

Nowdays, I think I would favourably compare any modern Alphas against any modern CTS. However, since CTS mainly focuses on imperial standards and Alpha mostly focuses on metrics, I ha' no problems with using both. Especially since we still have two different camps of guitar standards, the Americans which are still on imperials and the Rest of the World which are largely on metric. 😅 So there's still value in stocking/getting both. Altho me personally, I primarily get Alpha because almost all of my guitars are metric imports! LOL 🤣
