Hola[USUARIO=30528]@Reapprsr[/USUARIO]
No soy un experto, pero creo que el Starcaster contemporáneo es "sólido", mientras que el CV y el Affinity? siguen estando semi-vacíos.
Congrats!I’m not messing with this one (maybe the tuners) looking forward to hearing what these “wide range” humbuckers are capable of putting out, especially with pedals.
Agreed, that trem arm looks fantastic and does pick up the lines of the body and headstock. Given the solid Ice Blue top and black hardware the black modern Trem made the most sense. Mighty nice sir, very tempting to outfit the CV too. Can’t wait to swap pickups!@kre8art thanks mate, I figured that flat arm suited the headstock and swoopy vibe of the guitar. Those pickups are well worth a try![]()
Yes, the solid body Strats were a more affordable line but I have never owned one so hopefully someone who has will contribute.Nice looking guitar.
Are there different versions of the Squier Starcaster? Some look interesting like this one that's semi hollow, but I get confused with the solid body ones that appear to be really cheap.
Semi-hollow construction@Reapprsr
I'm not an expert, but I think the contemporary starcaster is "solid" whereas the CV and Affinity? are still semi-hollow

Creo que son todos semi huecos, solo que unos tienen la f (agujeros) y otros no.
Si fueran sólidos serían demasiado pesados
Hmmm… really want one too!I have the identical CV Starcaster. I added a Les Trem. It's my favorite "inexpensive" guitar.
Sweet, that’s the one that got me looking, the Walnut is beautiful and almost never come up for sale… fetch top dollar when they do.Congrats!
I have one in walnut. it's a cool guitar! I didn't change the tuners, but I would recommend considering swapping out the time pots for 500K instead of the 250K that come standard. It made mine sound better.
That looks gorgeous!
I wouldn’t mind owning one of those, although I find it a bit of a shame Squier went fot tunematic and stop tailpiece instead of a more true Starcaster bridge…. But that would probably make the guitar too costly and perhaps this is even better.
Anyway, enjoy it and dust off your Leo Nocentelli licks!
Hahaha, yes I actually do…. Perhaps I’m just to seeing that on a Starcaster ;-)
not a ton beyond my pfp. most of my pictures of my guitars are guts shots so I can remember what's inside.Any photos to share?
Back in the 90s (maybe 80s as well?) Fender sold dirty cheap Starcaster Strats (maybe Teles, too) at big box stores like Walmart. They were **** on at the time, but seem to have gained a following in the 2020sNice looking guitar.

Mine came from the same place. I couldn't find one for sale in Australia. Make sure to post some pics when you've fitted itAfter seeing @paulos beauty with chrome flat arm Les Trem my stock Starcaster tailpiece wasn’t going to cut it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find one anywhere, had to order one from overseas… from France with love or however that expression goes.
F I N A L L Y ! ! !
(bastard sat in customs forever!)
For sure @paulos, the pics are on the way soon because my tech pushed the other jobs because he really wants to hear what those pickups sound like. I bought them off Reverb thinking they were wide range from a US Ultra Pro Deluxe Tele as the seller listed them but my tech just verified that they are CuNiFe wide range from a Custom Shop. He used to work at Fender and now works at G&L, he called his buddy in the Custom Shop and he gave the thumbs up. Score! The Les Trem with the Gunstreet wiring kit for Starcasters and the CuNiFe pickups… this is one of those permanent collection guitars, never parting with this one.Mine came from the same place.
