What do I have here? Value?

I picked this up several years ago. I bought it of craigslist because it was $20.00 which I felt was too cheap. It's not a guitar I like or have any interest in but I had to buy it for that price. Google tells me this is possibly an 'HM" strat? What do I have here? Is there a following for these guitars?

According to the Serial number it looks like 1989 Korean made by Samick. I'm sure someone will know more about it.

Yeah, looks like an HM to me. Probably worth 200 USD, or more, depending on the market in your area.

Looks like a fantastic deal at $20. Because of the hardtail I believe it’s the lowest level on the HM series. Higher range HMs had set necks and floating bridges. But still looks a cool guitar, I love the headstock.

I had a white one for a short while, I do like that blue color! I gave $50 for mine and sold it for around $175 from what I remember.

Those pickups are made for distortion so crank your amp up and have a little fun with it!

What's you got there.. that's greased lightning, blue variety... Dreams of a rock obsessed teen from the 80's and a beginner shredder's first weapon.. It is a beautiful guitar. Value? Inestimable.. don't sell it...

I would disassemble, clean and polish everything, electronics, jack, body, fingerboard, frets, tighten the tuners, new felt for strap buttons, reassemble, evaluate by playing, decide to flip or not. I agree that was a teenage wet dream at one time.
