MF had an SG special at a decent price, I have been looking for an inexpensive SG, this one fit the bill. I was a bit hesitant because I had previously owned a junior LP that sounded OK, but was a total boat anchor! The SG was set up out of the box!, The pick ups sound much better than the LP I had.(much lighter) Had to do the usual stuff, polish, Frets, oil fretboard, tighten a few screws. For what I paid I am extremely happy with it. It’s amazing how much guitar you can get for so little money! My only wish is that the fret board was darker, but I can live with it.

Congrats on that. That is the easiest playing SG out there in how the neck is positioned, as it is bolted quite deep in the body contrary to the glued one. It makes the guitar about an overall 4cm shorter.

Nice, grats! Neck could be darker, yes, but still looks nice too.

SWEET!!!!!!!! You can use a Stain Pen to darken Board! I take a pencil and sand down eraser to Dot size. Saves you from steel wooling the Dots later.
