Extremely nice neck, surely now you must find an era appropriate alder body... right? Very nice but I kinda remember the old joke: Look, I found a perfectly good horse shoe, that is good luck! And the grumpy friend said- yes, now you just need another three and a horse.

And on the ebay "deal" someone should call and ask them what are they on , or did they misplace the comma or decimal point mayhap?

Wow! Forget deal of the day, that might be deal of the year. Definitely looking forward to the build, you do some of the best partcasters. I can't help but wonder, what happened to the body? Congratulations on a great find!

Nice score for a grat neck. Thick laminated fingerboard indeed means it’s probably coming from a JV serial CST model.
If you one day find a matching body, I can offer you a 3-bolt JV serial neck plate and a complete loaded original black pickguard from an SQ serial CST strat I have laying around.
