New diy speaker box

Picked up a couple very used bee boxes cheap. Been outs the pic here for a bit, gas finally caught up. Light sanding and some amber zinzer shellac. Bought a nos vintage alnico 12". Ran out of my favorite grill cloth, used an old tye dyed tshir. Temporary I believe till I find something different. B using this with the valve jr head. Sealed back ill finish cutting it tomorrow. Enjoy..

Nice, unless it deadens the sound I'd leave the tie dye.

Thanks for all the comments. No not a tonekiller, the vintage 12" alnico sounds good. I've always built them with sealed back, may experiment with partial open back?? Your thoughts.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. It's always fun to convert the bee box, make it yours, everything. The finish, the speaker. The cloth. I've made a few, there getting expensive new raw cabs are almost $30. Ea. Tony made a nice one a while back, I call it the black beauty..lol
