Who's the old git and what's that old git he's got?

;) I had to do that. It was a life imperative.
The old git would be Thrup'ny Bit :p, the old git is my 2006 Classic Player 50s and I was playing my part for this Strat-Talk epic in 2021, at about 6:00

I wish i had someone to show me how to load the plugin amp things on my computer and use them they seem so convienant and something to break my rut routine playing i get in. I tried once but couldn't get it to open after i downloaded it lol.

First you have to install your recording software, then you can use plugins.

I went with Reaper. You can download it for free on thier website. They give you a 60 day trial priod to try it out before you buy the license. If you decide to keep running that you pay for the license which is only $60 and you are all set.

Once you have that installed and working whenever you want to do something do a Google search and you will find step by step videos showing you exactly how to do anything you want to do. It been around for a long time and there are endless how to videos on the web to show you how to use it. I've never had to read the manual.

Anyone who knows both Cakewalk and Reaper? I'm on Cakewalk myself, but still learning. Far from having mastered it. I wonswe if it might be worthwile to change over to Reaper.

Try Reaper, you can run it alongside Cakewalk and compare them for yourself.

You download the plugin and save it as per instructions. The you have to tell your DAW where to find the plugins.

Then you add them to the FX on the channel strip, amp and cab simulator:
