I love some of the new colors on the Sonic Mustangs, but I will never buy one. This Bullet Mustang has a forearm contour and belly cut making the body better than the Sonics, the Classic Vibes, and all but a few of the MIJ, MIA, Custom Shop and MIM Fender Mustangs. This is everything that was great about the Competition-era Mustangs without the parts that were wrong. If Fender had a clue, they'd make a Contemporary or Classic Vibe 70s version based on this body.

And it is practically a crime to only pay $129 for a new Bullet Mustang (I paid $10 more last year at Adorama). Congrats on your purchase.

SWEET!!!!!!!! They have nice Contours and PU's are fine. I want to show you one of your Ex's. 2022 Affinity Body from you that I had my way with! USPS gave it a few nice dings, so I took a sanding Pad to satinize it and added some glitter. Gold hardware and my 2021 Bullet Neck. Epi P-90 and a custom A5/A2 in Bridge. Sweet Guitar. Enjoy that Mustang! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐ŸŽธ DSCN2018 (2).JPG

These Mustang pickups are probably the nicest sounding cheap humbuckers Ive ever had. I moved them up close to the strings and it didn't change much. I moved them down close to the guard and they cleared up to a nice chimey bell tone.
Throw gain, or a distortion pedal at them and they rock quite well. I did a setup on it last night and got the intonation right this morning.

That Tele looks ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.
Whats in the Bridge ?

I digg my P90 in my Tele. Its in the bridge.
The neck has a Jackson/Belcat humbucker I swapped out the mag in. From a ceramic to an A5.

^^^^^ This is a true frankentele :)
P90 and harness are cigar box stuff from CBGitty. Neck is from a member here.
Tuners too.
$23 pine ebay body ,that came with the old record pickguard.
Bridge is a cutdown Tele with Squier Deluxe saddles.
Blue an red are crayon. I let my grandkids do it ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Since those 2022's have the 4 screw Bridge mount, I put on Gold Wilkinson with a Prima USA Custom A5/A2 Tele Bridge. Love the Epi A2 P-90 more and nice tone in middle on switch.

They had the Sonic on the floor and it is the one I played and took to the counter. He went to the back to get me a new one and came out with the Bullet. It was close to in tune ,so I plugged it in to check it.
All good ๐Ÿ‘.
I sat down next to the lessons booth and strummed some chords. It is very resonant unplugged.
Even though the body is thin, the belly and arm contour are ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.
The frets are only slightly rough on the edge and need a good polishing, but I will take care of that at the first string change.

I think my mini Jazzmaster has same PU's but with white tops. I bought loaded Body from Franklin for less than $50 and put 24" scale neck in it. Love the HB's and size! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐ŸŽธ DSCN2066 (2).JPG
