First build - opinions wanted

I'm building my first body - tele-style. The poly is on and should be cured. The final sanding and polishing is this weekend.

I intend to go without a pickguard or with a minimalist pickguard to highlight the wood figure. I have chrome hardware for it:. Neck pickup ring, control plates, knobs and a chrome Wilkinson bridge.

Should I keep the chrome or does it compete with the body? Should I look for something aged or relic'd?

First off, great job on that body! It looks fantastic. And I think the chrome looks just fine on there. Black might look pretty cool as well.

I'm usually not a big fan of gold hardware, but I think it would look good with those colors. Or brass. Or copper.

Nice job! One way to make a guitar look a little more "lived in" without dragging it behind a truck on the end of a chain is matte nickel hardware. You have to be careful though especially with chrome because there's very little chrome on the chrome these days and very easy to wear through it.
