I’ve been interested in trying one of these for a while now and I found a used one locally for an ok price. Since this one doesn’t have the looper function and I already have a looper pedal I’d like to know does anyone have experience running he output of one of these into a looper. I’d like to be able to keep the original rhythm guitar part used to teach the trio playing with the bass and drums while i solo all of it. Also it should allow me to save the loop on my boss looper to playback. Has anyone tied anything like this? How were the results?

You should be able to record the output of the Trio, consisting of your rhythm guitar and the backing parts it creates, the same way that you would record just your guitar, and on playback, it'll play that recording mixed with your live guitar, sent to your amp. As for the playback quality, it should be just as good as any other part you record in the looper. I like to send my looper's output separately from my live guitar that I'm soloing over its recordings, because every looper I've tried sucks tone and dynamics from the live guitar passing through it. Some are worse than others, but they all seem to do it somewhat.

I currently run my looper through my bass amp and solo through my vox using an aby box after the rhythm loop is recorded.
I figured it would be fine just wanted to get some feedback before dropping some cash on the pedal. Thanks for the reply

The main reason why I haven't bought a looper yet is that somewhere I have a Digitech Trio. I'm not sure which one I have, that is, if I in fact still have it. There's a possibility that I could have sold it a long time ago.

what are they asking for the non-plus version?

They have two listed on the site one is $80 the other is $90. The $80 looks a little rough around the edges but as long as it works. I’ll save myself $10

The original Trio is NOT a looper and can't record you and the backing tracks it creates from "listening" to your playing. The Trio+ DOES include a looper, and that is one of the big differences between the two.

thanks.

now that my brother survived his major surgery and it looks like we're here to stay, I'm going to start unpacking all those boxes and find out just what do I have.

'tis just a couple. Everything in this picture is my music stuff, and it's still not all of it
