2021 Classic Vibe Mustang. Completely stock. Awesome player, but just couldn't get it into a steady rotation ahead of other guitars I own. "Limited Edition" FSR model in Lake Placid Blue (or so Squier says - clearly, it's IBM or Agave Metallic)

Little-to-no wear. No finish cracks, chips or dents. Clean as a whistle and fresh strings. Looking for $300 plus actual shipping in the lower 48 via Paypal.

Fender calls any of a very wide range of metallic blue finishes LPB, most of them much lighter than the actual color. It's not the only color they do it with, Burgundy Mist, CAR, and Sonic Blue are a few other examples. They seem to think that people like a faded and yellowed version of a custom color, like on a guitar from the 60s that was abused, rather than one that was well cared for. Fender Japan doesn't do that, and they make all colors in the proper shade they looked like when new in the 60s. This subject is a real pet peeve of mine that I'm constantly ranting about. Here's an actual LPB 60s Strat, and you can see how much darker it is than almost any guitar of the last 20 years that they call LPB, with the Am Pros being the exception.

Looks more ice blue metallic to me. Here's the Vintera 60's in Ice Blue Metallic that I used to have.

The factory clearly got it wrong. There are many versions of Lake Placid Blue than have been painted on Fender California guitars over the years, and that's not what I'm talking about. Here's what my proper Lake Placid Blue Bullet Competition Mustang looks like. In fact I think the stripe is Ice Blue Metallic! It's the real thing (or as close as Fender Corona or any Asian factory is going to get).


The OP is right that his really is ice blue metallic and not LPB.
